The furnishings and decor chosen for the inn reflect the
classic lines and purposeful design which characterized
the American Arts and Crafts period of the early twentieth century.
Designs of the era stressed a return to fine craftsmanship
and promoted simple, uncluttered interiors contrasting
the Victorian excesses popular at the same time.
In the tradition of these turn-of-the-century craftsmen,
we have decorated the Coast Guard House with comfortable
furnishings, quality linens, the work of local artists and
craftspeople as well as mementos of the inn's maritime history.
In a more silent nod to the necessities of the twenty-first century,
we offer wireless internet access to our guests who need
to keep in touch with the outside world.
